I can sign in to wordpress but can't sign in to gravatar to change my image

Years ago I configured my gravatar, I want to change it but I can’t sign into gravatar but I can sign into wordpress. Gravatar shows yhis message and I can’t unlock my account. Resending the confirmation email from wordpress.com doesn’t solve the problem

gravatar uses the same login credentials as wordpress.com but you were not able to login with your WordPress credentials?
if you at any point changed your email address you will have needed to update that as well.

When I login to gravatar with my wordpress credentials I always receive the same message:We sent you a confirmation email!

This message refers to an email received when I signed up, years ago. I don’t have that email and can’t find how to resend it. I can log in OK to wordpress.com, edit my profile, I see gravatar as a connected application, etc but I can’t change my picture. It’s really really dissapointing
