I canceled my domain on wordpress and now I can't use it

    I deleted my old wordpress.com blog and canceled my domain and my subscription because I wanted to switch to worpress.org but now I can’t access my domain and I need to map it to blue host so that I can start using my wordpress.org website.
    PLEASE HELP :)

    Hi vanneochoa,

    If you are moving over to WordPress.org I recommend posting on the WordPress.org support forum, instead of the WordPress.com support forum.

    Hey there,

    If you’re wanting to transfer your domain, you should never cancel it at your current host because once you decide to cancel your domain, there is no guarantee that you will be able to reacquire it in the future. Someone else could gain access to it. Also, it usually takes a few weeks for your domain registration to clear and become available once you cancel it. There isn’t an exact time, however, so you’ll be checking consistently to see when it becomes available.

    If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site

    I’ll be happy to contact the registrar to see if we can restore the domain back to your account, but I cannot guarantee that we will be able to get the domain back.
