I canceled my WordPress plan, now I can’t get the domain back.
-
A few months ago, I purchase a plan on WordPress which comes with free domain. Later on, I realized it was not the plan I was aiming for. Therefore, I decided to cancel it and get a full refund. However, now I want to have the domain back and it says ‘ Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain. ‘
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
When you canceled your plan, your domain was parked. I can restore your domain for its renewal price of $25.
I have already sent you a payment request and let me know when you submit it to restore your domain.

Hi,
Where did you send the payment request? I couldn’t find it in my email inbox.
Anyway, if I paid the $25 renewal price, will I get to own the domain and how long?
Thanks,

I have resent the payment email. Please check your email’s spam folder.

You’ll renew the domain with us for one year.

Once I pay the renewal price. I have the ownership of the domain and could use it anywhere not just WordPress, right?

Right, you can point it to another host:
If it’s at least 60 days old, you can transfer it to another registrar, too. All of the remaining time you have on your domain with us will be transferred with it, and you’ll get another year added to it by the new registrar.
If you want to use the domain elsewhere, I’d personally recommend pointing then transferring, as the transfer process takes a few days, during which the pointing process is locked. And the pointing process tends to take effect within several hours.
Let us know if you have more questions.
