I cancelled my domain and now I want to purchase again but I can't

So this happened:
1. I transferred my blog to a self hosting
2. I used to own only the domain, with free plan.
3. I transferred all my things on the new hosting and deleted it from wordpress.com
4. I also cancelled my domain subscription (here comes the mistake)
5. Now my website on the new hosting is inaccessible for others because of the DNS configuration.How can I fix this? If I have to I will buy the domain again, I also save all the receipts for the domain purchase.
Do I have to wait a period of time before I can purchase the domain name? It’s a big blog with over 250 articles on it and nice community.Also, I cancelled the subscription last night
