I cannot access a blog a started

My blog churchofcat.wordpress.com is a conundrum to me. It doesn’t show up as my blog, and I can’t edit content or change it. I’ve asked this question several times and gotten no answer that makes sense to me. Please please someone help! My other blog is BarbaraHerman.com Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

And no, the blog I need help with is NOT barbaraherman.com

    Hi there,

The account you are currently writing from (barbaraanneherman) is not listed as a user on the blog you mention (churchofcat.wordpress.com). Do you potentially have another account you may have setup sometime in the past? If so, can you try logging in under that account and see if you can access the blog?

Thanks, Jeremey. I am sure I set it up with another account sometime in the past. That is the problem. I don’t know what the account is, and I just either want to find a way to get into churchofcat.wordpress.com, or to delete it and start it again since I bought the domain name and I’d like to start blogging.

Can you either 1) help me get into churchofcat.wordpress.com? Or 2) Delete it and start it again with the same name (in spite of the WordPress rules that say that if you delete a site, you can’t use the name again?) I bought the domain name ChurchofCat.com, and I’d like to start blogging! Thank you.

If you can’t help with either of these things, I’m just going to start the site on Typepad. This isn’t a threat, I’m just saying that I’ve put off starting this site for years, and I can’t go back and forth with this any longer. Thank you for your help in advance.

    Hi Barbara,

I went ahead and replied through private email to the address on file for your account. Please keep all additional correspondence there to prevent confusion!

OK, Jeremey. If you’re talking about (email visible only to moderators and staff), then yes, that’s the email address I use. Otherwise, I’m not sure which one you’re referring to. So…how can we solve this problem? Is there any way to chat on the phone, or set up a live chat? Thanks.

Please keep all further correspondence in the email thread. Let me know if you didn’t receive it for some reason!

Can you explain what “keep it in the email thread” means? When I check my email and see your message and press, “reply,” it takes me to this page. I’m not sure what you want me to do.

    Hi Barbara,

You should be able to reply back to that email like a regular email. I went ahead and sent a follow-up. If you click reply in your email client, you should be able to add a return message.

“Email client”? Again, not sure what you’re talking about. If I try to reply to your email, the email is addressed to “donotreply.”

THis is my only option, unless you can explain where else I should be replying.

    Hi Barbara,

I went ahead and resent the email to the address on file for the account. Please note, in Gmail, the email will likely get filtered into the Social tab. Also, it’s completely separate from our conversation here. Our conversation here is in the public forums and will have an email of donotreply@. I’ve emailed you privately from an address of help@wordpress.com with a completely separate message.

Please let me know if you don’t receive it!

Jeremey, it’s not that I have received it or haven’t, the problem is I don’t know where to go. I don’t know what you’re talking about. I have my gmail accounts, and then I have my wordpress account that I log into to get to my blog. What email are you sending things to that I’m supposed to be receiving emails from? Like, you’re going to have to be really explicit with me. Go here, login here, etc. I don’t know my way around wordpress except to blog within it. THanks.

    Hi Barbara,

You will need to go log-in to your Gmail account. You should see an email from help@wordpress.com. The subject of the email should read “Account Recovery”. You should be able to reply to that conversation like a normal email. It will not be Forum post here, just an email conversation. Can you take a look and see if you have received that email?

The only reason I’m moving to private email is to collect some private information so I can help you gain access to your account!
