I cannot access both site and dashboard

A few days earlier, I set my site’s privacy to ‘private’ but recently I set it back to public. However, now I cannot access both my dashboard and site (the ‘site cannot be reached always appears) even on multiple devices and even after I change the internet connection.

    What could possibly the problem?

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

    Hi there!

I can confirm your site is open to the public, and you should be able to access it via your dashboard – you can check https://wordpress.com/sites and see it there.

Please also ensure you are logged in to WordPress.com with the correct email associated with your account/site.

my blog was set up in 2012, on a yahoo.com email address.

later, I lost access to that address, but could still access via the LOG IN tag in the Meta section (at bottom of column). All I had to do there was click ENTER twice, so my blog was probably open to the public. Just today I was refused entry. The old yahoo address is no longer usable. How can I enter from my present address, which is (email visible only to moderators and staff)?

@pmcob – could you share the address you are trying to access, please? I can see you are a different user than rafaelmusaosa – are you trying to access the same site, vulnerasti.wordpress.com?

If vulnerasti.wordpress.com, you would need to log in as rafaelmusaosa (or follow our account recovery process if you have lost access to that account).

If you refer to a different site, please provide the exact URL and I can check for you.

No, I know nothing of either of those sites. My story: 13 years ago I set up findingthetreasure.wordpress.com using the email address (email visible only to moderators and staff) Some time later I could no longer access that email… I forget how/why. However, I could still get into my blog by going down to META, and LOG IN. Simply by pressing the blue bar twice, I could reach my dashboard (of findingthetreasure.wordpress.com ) I wondered if the blog was open to the public. Just the other day, I could no longer enter or get to the dashboard.

My current email is (email visible only to moderators and staff) Some time back I tried to shift the blog to this address, but seem to have failed. Can you please show me how to access the blog, and then to base it at (email visible only to moderators and staff). There are 230+ posts that I wish to keep.

@pmcob – Certainly, you should be able to gain access to this website by going through our account recovery process here: https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#verify-your-account-ownership

    You will need to enter a transaction ID. This will show on your bank statement next to the charge and will be a 10-digit unique code, normally next to the word ‘WordPress’. You can find more about retrieving this transaction ID on our support page here;
    https://wordpress.com/support/billing-history/#on-your-credit-card-statement
Or if you paid via PayPal, see here:
    https://wordpress.com/support/billing-history/#find-your-paypal-transaction-id

Once you provide that information, our account team will email you privately.

Again, please go through the recovery form on the link above. Do not share any information here.

It sounds like the issue may be related to how the site settings updated after switching from private to public. Since you’ve already confirmed it’s the correct account and tried different devices and networks, this could be a server-side issue. I’d recommend clearing your browser cache and cookies, then trying again. If the problem continues, it might need staff assistance to check the site status from their end.
