I cannot access my account on Gravatar and WordPress
-
I have been added to two different WordPress sites run by other companies. I can log into both of those accounts from the links they invited me from with the same email, we’ll just call it Email A. When I try to change my Gravatar with Email A, it says that user does not exist with either of the two logins I was given for Site A and Site B, or my Email A. When I then try to create a new account instead with that email, it says, a user with that email already exists. So I created this WordPress account with Email B because to get support about my Email A not working with Gravatar/Wordpress. Thanks.

Hi fattywafflessoftware,

We require each WordPress.com account to use a unique email address, which means it’s not possible for multiple accounts to share a single email address. It sounds like one of the accounts might be for a site using WordPress.org software on another host but I can check on that for you.
I’ll need to know the exact site and email addresses in order help further. If you type the email addresses normally, they will be reacted from public view but visible to staff :)
Let’s go from there…

Hi! Ok sounds good. My email is (email visible only to moderators and staff) and that is the email I’m using to try to update my Gravatar but I’m not able to.

Hi there,
That email address is not associated with a WordPress.com or Gravatar account and you can use it to create a new account. Please go to the following page to create a new WordPress.com account:
https://wordpress.com/start/user
This action will also create a Gravatar account as well.
If this still doesn’t work or you have more questions, just let me know and I’ll be happy to help!
