I cannot access my site

I tried to login to my WP after a long time. It said my password was wrong so I did forgot password. I received an email link and when I clicked it, WP created a new account for me with a new username.
I tried to fill out the account recovery form but it won’t let me submit as apparently my activation URL isn’t valid! This is copied directly from an activation e-mail I received, so I have no idea why it isn’t valid on the form. The form won’t let me submit without it as I have never made any payments to WP.
I am submitting this query from the new account WP made me.The robot chat won’t help me. Please help

Log out of this new account. Log back in with the username olivemegamean and whatever password you use for that site.

What @themagicrobot says isn’t a suggestion, it’s the only solution.
You are still logged in as delightfullytheoristed16385820 so:
- completely log out from delightfullytheoristed16385820
- log in again with the username olivemegamean, the account owning that site

thanks, but it doesn’t work. It doesn’t let me login using the username and when I request an email link, I don’t receive one.
What I need is to be able to submit the recovery form but it won’t let me due to the URL being “invalid” for some reason
