I cannot access post revisions how do i restore the revisions option

    I have read many utterly bewildering suggestions as to how to restore a missing revisions button but I am a writer not an IT technician and cannot begin to understand them. There is no option to check and restore recent visions of my posts. There is no check box under screen options.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    To locate drafts Dashboard > Posts > All Post > Drafts

    Provided you did not create the post in the new Beep Beep Boop editor where it’s saved only on your browser, and is not auto-saved to the servers for your blog I can help you with this.

    If the post was created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New then you ought to be able to recover a lost post or page from revisions if needs be.

    I recommend:

    1. Always create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog at
    2. Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
    3. Immediately after creating a post and entering a title click the save draft link. Thereafter, “click save draft” frequently.
    4. Always allow pages to fully load before clicking any other links.
    5. Never leave a post or page open for content creation or editing and walk away from it, or open another tab in the same blog and work on something else while it is still open. Save it properly and return to edit it later.
    6. Use an offline blog editor so you have backups on your own computer http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/

    If you cannot locate a revision or restore from Trash then the content has been lost and cannot be recovered.

    I am sorry this happened to you. I have been there and this loss of pages and posts has been going on for over a year. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/new-post-editor-improvements?replies=12 I stopped using the $#$%^&! Beep Beep Boop editor and getting to me to use it ever again will be akin to moving a freaking mountain.

    Thanks for the reply. I generally write in Open Office Writer and copy and paste to WP just before publication. Stupidly I used the WP editor in my browser in case I wanted to add to this post while at work and then come back and finish at home in the evening.
    My problem is that writing is for me difficult to start but once I get going becomes a curious trance like experience and I remember nothing of which I written as it just sort of flows out. I do know that when I hit that state is when the good stuff is coming so it is howlingly frustrating to know that those words have been lost forever.
    I have learned my lesson.
