I cannot add a category

  I am trying to add a category to my site in order to have more than one post per page. All documents I am finding reference a different dashboard than the one I am seeing and tell me to go to pages–>categories. That is not an option. Please help, I am growing considerably frustrated.

  I found the categories but it still didn’t solve my problem. What I want is for my users to click on a menu, see the children, select one and then see a list of the articles, click on a title they would like to read

  Is that possible?
