I cannot add users

  I cannot add users (authors). Photos appear and they are in categories, but I do not see them appear in the in the users’ list although I followed the procedure and they did register.

  Hi Pierre,

  From what I can see, you have 18 users associated with your blog. Are you looking to add more users? Or are you trying to change their user roles?

  If you’re inviting new users — i.e. contributors without a WordPress account — can you make sure that they’ve activated their account first?

  Add more users. Yes they creatd wordpress accounts. I cannot have their name appear in my users’list

  This should be fixed. Could you please try adding a user again? If you’re still having trouble after that, could you please let us know an example of a username for an account you’re trying to add?

  I tested this from your account. I used the email address for the oscarfortin account and I added it to the users page for http://les7duquebec.wordpress.com/ and it worked without any problems.

  Can you please clear your browser cache before trying again? http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache

  If you still have trouble, could you please let me know if you see any error message after you add the user and can you copy the exact error message in a reply here?

  Oscar Fortin has been added to my Users’s page. Thank you. But YOU dit it and I have others to add. Could you pinpoint my mistake so I do not have to bother you everytime ?

  You’ll actually need to add the users by email address, using the email address registered on their WordPress.com account.

  Were you trying to add their email address, or just their username?

  I want to add a user, username jean_pierre bohnomme email = IT DOES NOT REGISTER same problem I had woth oscatfortin There is no error message. Just a loop telling to invite. and I have three more to add. Tremendous loss of time over days. . I wish the thiing woul;d be more intuitive

  You should be able to add them by just adding the email in the Users page of your Dashboard.

  I put the email address. The name of the user does not appear in the list, nor does any error message. It seems that when you do, it works. I am puzzled. Is there any strange detail I should know about ? I am working on a Mac.

  Would you mind letting me know the username of the author you’ve most recently tried to add to your blog? Can you confirm that he or she already has a WordPress account set up?
