I cannot alter the text.

I want to make some text larger and with color. There is no bar with the symbol A. We have the $99/year version. Do we have to upgrade to get this feature?

Hi there.
You can make changes to the font’s colour and size on your site via the WordPress.com Customizer. To get to the Customizer, firstly head to My Site in WordPress.com then choose the option to Customize In the left sidebar:

From here, click on the Fonts tab. You’ll see a box with ‘0’ in it next to Headings and Body Text. You can click inside that box to increase or decrease the number, this will change the font size accordingly.
To experiment with different colour palettes, click on the ‘Colours & Backgrounds’ tab and click through each colour option to change it.
If you’re looking to make more specific customizations, then you can also add custom CSS via the Customizer. If you’re not familiar with CSS, it’s a coding language that’s used across the web to change the appearance of websites. Here at WordPress.com, it’s possible to add custom CSS to override certain design elements of themes.
