Like anything else, learning something new takes a while. You have resources available to you to help with the learning process, including the FAQs and forum. If there is something specific you need help with, then please ask.

Sorry, I don’t understand why you think your blog is not user friendly the page is. Is it the way the theme works? Is there something specific you think should be done differently?

Let’s try that again. I don’t understand why you think your blog is not user friendly. (full stop) Is it the way the theme works? Is there something specific you think should be done differently?

I can understand the…hm…frustration? Remember, you’re just starting. It’s only after you fill your blog with content and take full advantage of all the possibilities in your theme and in WordPress that you will be able to judge whether it’s (un)user-friendly or not. My suggestion would to browse other people’s blogs on wordpress.com and see what they have done for some ideas and inspiration for your own blog. Or you can simply use the “surprise me” arrow in the top right corner of your screen when you are logged in. I’ve learned a lot just by doing that.

No matter what I try I have to click the 1 comment link to get the comment to appear. The other blog of word press I am involved with, the text appears on the front.
-
Question: what other blog are you referring to? The way that text and comments display depends on the theme. I don’t know all themes by heart, so I’m not sure if there is a theme that displays the comments on the front page. They do display on the post page http://ozeepolitics.wordpress.com/2008/07/24/welcome-to-ozee-politics-2/ and that’s what matters. In any case, you may want to preview a different design and see how it looks like. The beauty of previewing a different theme in wordpress.com is that all internal links are working in the preview screen, which means that you can go through your whole blog and decide which theme is best for you

The only problem comes at the image loading part. But I have not experienced any problem since for for some time, so I assumed it’s fixed.
In a way, WordPress is still the best (And when I say this, it’s just this) host around.
Trust me. -
None of the themes here show comments on the front (thank goodness). Can you imagine how far you’d have to scroll to the next post if you had 100 comments on a post displayed?

I love my Blog here at WordPress! I did have to learn my way around, because I was new to blogging, but, now that I know how it works I love it!! No problems here.

As long as the usual operations are smooth, and the pinging works, basically WordPress is pretty solid technically.
