I cannot change the color in my non-image text header. Please assist.

I bought the Opti theme and cannot change the purple color that I put on it, to this color: #8da7bf
Please assist.

Hi there!
I’ll be happy to help you figure this out. Can you give me more information on what item on your homepage you want to change the color?
Thanks!
-
The color BEHIND the text at the top where the title of my blog is cannot be altered without paying for customization ($30), but I JUST bought this theme and the purple is NOT the color of the theme. I just want the basic color (free) to be put back on my site (free). Thanks!

You can change that color by going to Appearance -> Background in your dashboard and clicking the “select color” button. You can copy/paste the #8da7bf color in the field provided and save your changes.
That should take care of it! Let me know if you still have trouble.

PLEASE understand that I KNOW HOW TO USE WP features. It is NOT POSSIBLE to change the color without BUYING an add-on customization feature, which is NOT an option for me. If there are FREE methods to change the color, they are NOT WORKING on my site. I do NOT have any FREE methods of changing the colors, this is a BUG. PLEASE HELP and do not instruct me on how to use WP. This is not user-error, but a BUG.

And this header area is NOT changed when the ‘background’ field color is changed. Of course that was the first thing I tried.

It was not a bug – the colors were set in the Theme Options color selectors here:
https://globaltradeissues.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.phpClick “Colors” and you get options for Header color, Link color and Background color. This is an option for your premium theme, not the Custom Design upgrade.
I have reset your blog’s header color back to the default.
I hope that helps!

It DOES help, thanks!!! Your link works and saves it, while entering it from within my account nothing would save without a paid upgrade. Thanks for the link, I will use solely that from now on!! :-)
