I cannot change the sidenote on my blog
-
I’m not sure how I added the function, but I am unable to edit the text of the default ‘sidenote’ on my blog. I’ve looked through every single option I can find, to no avail. Help please?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
Do you mean your site’s tagline? If so, you can change that here: https://wordpress.com/settings/general/metalstuffblog.wordpress.com
If that’s not the right thing, if you can explain what you mean or provide a link to where I can see it, I’ll take a look and see what we can do! :)
Best,

Thanks :) No, that’s not what I meant – on my blog, when viewing an individual post, there is something called a “sidenote” underneath the search bar on the right hand side of the page. When I was setting up my site there was an option to change the text – but now there is no option (or I just can’t find it)

Oh, I see it now. Looks like a Text Widget in your sidebar.
Let me know if you have any questions about getting it configured. :)

You can embed a YouTube video using a shortcode. Add a Text Widget to your sidebar, then add a shortcode formatted like this:
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVbQ-oro7FQ ]There’s more information on the shortcode here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/#embedding-with-a-shortcode
