I cannot connect to my site

In February, I purchased the domain immigrantsinourbackyard.com. It links to a site https://walkingtheyear.wordpress.com/. When I click on ‘write’, I am taken to another of my pages (maybe it is the same, but the name is different. I write a post, and it posts on opencircledalton.wordpress.com and nothing appears on the immigrantsinourbackyard.com page. I even clicked on the link to edit ‘about’ on immigrants in our backyard. A window opened to edit, but when I published, it appeared on OpenCircleDalton instead of the immigrantsinourbackyard.
