I cannot create a site subdomain

    Hi,

    When I try to launch a new site with WordPress, I always see the same error message every time I try to enter keywords to create a domain. It reads:

    ‘Oops! Sorry an error has occurred. Please click here to contact us so that we can fix it. Please remember that you have to provide the full, complete Blog URL, otherwise we can not fix it.’

    I have been unable to create a site on any device or browser, including the app. Is there a way to form a site domain without using the search tool?

    Hi, I’d like to choose the subdomain netizenkore.blogspot.com. However, when I get to the ‘Create a site – Choose a domain’ page [https://wordpress.com/start/domains?ref=calypso-nosites], it says ‘Oops! Sorry an error has occurred.’ whenever I try to search key words.

    Hi there

    blogspot.com is a competing service (Blogger, which is owned by Google) so that URL is not available on WordPress.com.

    To have a blogspot.com address, you will need to sign up with Blogger and create a site there instead. We don’t have a way around that on our end since we do not control the underlying blogspot URL.

    You are however welcome to chose a subdomain with “wordpress.com” in the URL. As long as the subdomain is not already taken in our system you will be able to use it.

    Hi, apologies, I meant a wordpress.com sub domain [netizenkore.wordpress.com]. However the same issue applies with the ‘Oops! Sorry an error has occurred.’ whenever I try to search key words on the choose your domain page.

    Thanks for clarifying. From what I see netizenkore.wordpress.com is a site you created in the past yes? I see that it was suspended by our terms of service team, as you can see if you try to visit the site now: https://netizenkore.wordpress.com
