i cannot figure out how to edit content

  I started a basic page at edumotion.wordpress.com but for the life of me I can’t figure out how/where to edit the default text such as ‘welcome to wordpress’. How do I get to a place where I can replace all the default content with my own? I’m completely lost!

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  It should outline how to change text on home page.

  thanks but this does not help. It shows me how to edit text below the main image, but not the wordpress default text that is currently showing up ON the header image :-( this is not intuitive at all :-(((

  It shows me how to edit text below the main image, but not the wordpress default text that is currently showing up ON the header image.

  According to the documentation, that text can be edited in the customizer:

  “Now that the Homepage Template is active, navigate to the Customizer, in Theme Options → Homepage Template, to make the most of Gateway‘s features.”
