I cannot get logged into my account

    Hello! I cannot get logged into my account for my website schoolcounselormom.com
    I can’t remember which email I used and I am afraid it was my work email which I no longer have access to. Can you please help?

    Hi there,

    If you have set up an SMS authentication as well, you can also use your username, and the code they will text you. Go to this site and enter your WordPress.com username: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

    In case you don’t have the SMS recovery set up, it is okay! Staff will still be able to help you with account recovery. I added a modlook tag to this thread which will call their attention, so they can provide assistance to you as soon as possible.

    If you don’t remember the login details and no longer have access to the email address for the account, please follow our account recovery process at https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/ so we can help you regain access.


    @csabarakasz    , the OP clearly said they no longer have access to the email account, so pointing them to the lost password form will not help them in this case. You can only reset the password using that form if you have access to the email where we’ll send the reset link.

    Dear @unicornmommy, I apologize if I gave a wrong suggestion, as @kokkieh has pointed it out. I was under the impression, that if someone has set up the SMS recovery method, they can use their username only and recover their account without access to their email. I tested it before I suggested it, and it worked for me.

    Kokkieh, so this means I still need access to my email address, even if I would like to recover my account through the SMS recovery?
