I cannot get theme demo look a like to my website

  Skylark theme demo looks nothing like my website: http://elizabethkerrydesign.com/
  I took up the ‘premium theme try/buy’ but could not get the theme ‘Ampersand’ to work on my site. I decided to go with the skylark theme and, stupid me, even though I have done the tutorials, applied sticky posts, featured image, theme options, slider options, adjusted the reading/writing sections … My web page still does not look anything like the Skylark demo – I have no slider, I cannot get the posts to appear on the front page in a grid like forma etc. Can you help please?   Hi Elizabeth!

  I’m happy to help you get your theme setup. First, it looks like you still need to create a Showcase page as explained under “Showcase page template” on the theme instructions. I’ve pasted the instructions here:

  To use the Showcase page template, create or edit a page, and select “Showcase Template” from the Page Attributes module. If you’d like use the Showcase page template on your front page (like the Skylark demo site), go to Settings → Reading, and set the Front page option to Static Page. Select the page you just assigned the Showcase page template to as your front page and then choose another page to serve as your blog page.

  Let’s get that setup first before moving forward with the slider and such. Let me know if you have any trouble!
