I cannot go back in the forum list beyond the last 20 threads. Where are the numbers?
-
Usually in any forum there are the latest threads listed, then underneath [or sometimes near the top] are numbers in square blocks 1,2,3 ….85,…129, …. etc. which enable you to see previous pages and see what threads have been used recently or even a long time ago. These numbers are not there now and if say I want to see if there is a thread started in the last week or a week ago etc. or what threads were started say two days ago, there is no way of reaching the page.
-
You can edit the number in the URL like this…
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/support/page/7/
Change
7to12or4or whatever you’re looking for time-wise. Let me know if that helps. -

In addition to what @themagicrobot and @liskarkoski have said, note that only the main forum page doesn’t have links to previous and more recent pages at the bottom of each page. All of the specific subject forums do. These include the folowing:
See also the following limited searches in the sidebar, each of which has links to previous and later pages at the bottom of each page:

Some of those links were somehome inadvertently displaced. I meant to say…

Thanks for the reminder @musicdoc1 I always forget about (never use actually) the sidebar…
And of course your own Topics started and Replies created are seen at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/users/halilac/ -
@halilac – I’d use the link that @themagicrobot gave if you are looking for threads you started or replied to and also mention our conversation a few months ago https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/disappearing-thread as well. Cheers.

You’re welcome.

That’s funny, I nearly always use the sidebar links, especially “Themes” and “Topics with no replies.” And I sometimes forget that the main forum exists because I typically enter via a bookmark to one or another specific category forum. -

Yes, good point. That’s the place to go. : )

One more note: All of the pages I mentioned in Reply #3444352 have links to previous and later pages both at the top and the bottom of the list of 20 on each page.

Thank you music. I am not worried about my own threads or the side bar or finding a link. You have spotted what I was looking for. The following
only the main forum page doesn’t have links to previous and more recent pages at the bottom of each page
explains that the numbers have not disappeared as I thought but were for some unaccountable reason never there !!!! I did not realise that.
I was aware of the sub-topics in the side bar and have a bookmark link to my own threads, but was interested in what had been raised recently without going into a side-topic in the side bar. [Side bar two words, I hate the American habit of forming compound words all the time like German.]
Thanks again. The matter is now resolved. -
You’re welcome!
Or should I say “well come.” Jawohl, I’ve “some times” wondered why those links are absent only on the main forum page. What’s with “bookmark” and “side-topic”? : -)
