I cannot insert images already uploaded into post…

Hi, I uploaded a bunch of photos on my husbands computer before he went away for a week and I thought I would edit them and then post them from my netbook in the days after he left. Tonight I go to upload the pictures from April 2010 from my Media Library and there is no “Insert to Post” button on ANY of the photos in my Media Library. What happened and how can I get my photos up??

Nothing happened. When you go to Media > Library, there’s no “Insert to Post” button. Are you talking about inserting the images into an already published post or about creating a new post and inserting them?

I am trying to insert them into a new post. I was only able to upload them earlier, nothing more. I was editing the photos a couple days after I had uploaded them and I could ‘Insert to Post’ then, but now when I go to post I cannot. I just want to get my pictures from April 2010 posted into Fiji Pictures Post. Is this still possible?

Maybe there’s some confusion here.
Dashboard sidebar: Media > Library takes you to the list of your uploaded images – no “Insert into Post” there.
Dashboard sidebar: Posts > Edit > post title (or Posts > Add New) takes you to the post editor. There you click the Add an Image button, click Media Library, click Show for each image, select options, click Insert into Post.

I am working with the second option:

I am doing everything until the very last command “click Insert into Post” as it is not there. I am not sure if you are able to follow your instructions above in my profile or not, but I am trying it and there is NO ‘Insert into Post’ button. I am not sure what to do here.

Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies (more details here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/ ).
What browser and version are you using?PS No I cannot access your admin pages: only staff can.

There are a LOT of people reporting similar issues this week. What browser and operating system, and what versions, are you using?

Sorry for the late reply, I have been busy.
I have tried both Firefox 3.6.3 as well as Google Chrome 4.1.249.1059 and both have not worked.
It has been a few days now and it still has not worked. I am going to try from work tomorrow but logically that should not make a difference, but I am going to try anyway…
I will let you know how that goes.It feels better to know that I am not the only one :)

So I have also checked at work and it does not work there either. I guess it is a site thing. Is it being worked on to get it fixed?

I had exactly the same problem using Firefox. After clearing caches etc., I did a force refresh (CTRL-F5) on the edit post page. Then, when I went to insert an already uploaded image, i got a pop-up instead of a new page and, hey diddly-presto the insert worked.
