I don’t think this issue is related but I want to share it with you anyway.
The theme in use is very old and has been retired. Themes are retired when they no longer support all wordpress.com features and the recommendation is to switch to a newer theme.
We have a preview function. No content is lost when switching themes on WordPress.COM hosted blogs. If there are featured images and you have done CSS editing adjustments have to be made.
Provided you are logged in as Admin under the username account that registered the site go to https://wordpress.com/themes and type in your key words, or the name of theme.
Themes are just “skins” on WordPress.COM hosted blogs.
Note that switching themes https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/#switch-themes can be easily done, provided you are logged in as Admin under the same username account that registered the site, you tohttp://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php
*Replace NAME_OF_BLOG in that URL with the actual name of your blog. wp-admin/themes.php
The theme customizer https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/ provides a preview function for exactly that purpose ie. so you can view what a theme will appear like prior to changing one.

Thank you, I just changed my theme and the like button still does not work. I got an awesome new theme so we're good. LOL! Maybe it's because I need to purchase one of the plans to get it to work?

Hi there,
As @timethief asked above, can you please give a link to a post/page where you’re unable to like?
Only logged-in WordPress.com users can use the Like button, so it’s possible your browser is not correctly tracking you as logged in. Please make sure that your browser has third-party cookies enabled, and if you’re using any privacy extension like Privacy Badge, please try disabling it and see if that helps.
Also clear your browser cache and cookies first, and then log back in.

Unfortunately because of my hands I had to paste and copy the whole list. It was way more typing than I can do anymore. I did try the clearing the browser history and logging in again. all that did was make me loose passwords and it still did not work. I hope you can find something, thank you. 107 Followed SitesSort by date followedSort by site name

I asked for links to the posts where you can’t like. Not titles. I can’t click on a title to get to the post. But I checked the sites you mention and likes are working fine on all of them. I also checked your account, and likes are working for your account as well.
That leaves your browser. Can you please check if using a different browser makes any difference? And did you check third-party cookies as I’d asked, and disabled your browser add-ons?
This page will show you whether you have third-party cookies and JavaScript enabled or not:
I did try the clearing the browser history and logging in again. all that did was make me loose passwords
I did not say to clear browser history, nor to clear stored passwords. I asked you to clear only the browser cache and cookies. Those are something completely different from either history or saved passwords.
That said, you really shouldn’t save passwords in your browser, as that’s almost as insecure as just writing down your passwords on a post-it stuck to your computer screen.

Thank you, it is now fixed. I switched to internet explorer and had no problems. About passwords, it was to sites I didn't care about, so it's a non-issue. Thanks anyway though.
-
It really should work in Edge as well, though, to please let me know if you want to troubleshoot it further in that browser.
