I cannot log into my iPhone 5 application

Hello Support,
I have downloaded the WordPress app for iPhone 5 and since activating 2 step authentication, I am unable to log into my app on my iPhone. I have deleted the app, downloaded again, restarted my phone, ensured it is the right password all to no avail. I can log into the web-based version but not the app itself.
I have not been able to find answers to this on the forum. Please can you help me log in to my app – or advise if I perhaps typed the wrong password to many times and if my account has been locked because of this.

In order to log in on a mobile device once two-step has been activated, you will need to use an application-specific password the first time, rather than your usual password. This will verify your identity. After that, you can use your regular password and your authentication code from Google Authenticator or another service.
