I cannot login or reset my password for my wordpress.org account

    Hello, I received an email indicating that there has been suspicious activity with my account. I no longer have access to my account. It states that my username and email address are incorrect. I can, however, login to my regular account. When I login with bluehost, clicking the admin link launches a warning about dangerous viruses. Please help me reset my password and get my account back. Thank you

    Hi there,

    When I visited the link provided I am redirected to another domain and do see a warning about viruses. I removed the link from these forums so others aren’t redirected.

    These forums are actually for the sites here at WordPress.com. As you mentioned your site is a WordPress site running the self-hosted version from WordPress.org installed on Bluehost.

    I recommend getting in touch with Bluehost to ask about backups. Once you’ve got it fixed, read https://codex.wordpress.org/Hardening_WordPress
