I cannot open my blog in Shanghai,China

    Terribly, i cannot open my blog now in Shanghai,China when I finished moving blog from live spaces.

    Is there any solutions for me?

    Short of going through a proxy server, I’m not sure what else can be done, but I contacted support on this issue and referenced this thread, so hopefully they will respond here.

    Hello,

    We’ve seen an increase recently in the number of people who have reported access issues from China and Taiwan. Unfortunately, due to the nature of these blocks, we are unable to circumvent this issue.

    There are a few options available to you:

    1. We can give you a WordPress export file of your site and you can use this to move your site to a WordPress site hosted elsewhere – such as a self-hosted installation. Contact support directly if this is the option you would like to pursue.
    2. You can use a proxy server to get around the block.
    3. The Windows Live Spaces team has announced the availability of alternate migration options for WLS sites. These options are Sina and PIXNET and you can read more about this here. If you want to do this, you must contact Windows Live support—we cannot assist you with this option.

    In any case, I am disappointed to find that this has been the result of so many Chinese bloggers joining us here at WordPress.com. I’m sorry to see you leave, and hope that in the future these blocks will be non-existent and you will be able to join us permanently.

    Thanks for your replying & your suggestion.

    Yes, I can get access to my blog via webproxy. but you know, I don’t know whether it is secure enough to log in my blog via this kind of connection.

    I also don’t want to move my blog to any Chinese hosts. Usually, I don’t know when the hosts will be forced to closed suddenly.

    An own host sounds good to me.
    How can I do for it?
    – domain?
    – space?
    – wordpress codes?
