I cannot publish a blog with the new update on WordPress

    Hi. All I’m trying to do is add a new blog to my site. Whatever update has happened, it’s almost impossible for me to use it.
    1) Are you able to send me instructions on how to even post a blog with the new update
    2) can you please take this as a complaint that the new update is infuriatingly hard to use for someone who is not a computer tech person.

    Hi courtneymariahalsted,

    All you have to do is to access your WordPress admin dashboard area -> Posts -> Add New.

    Write your post’s title and text and when you are ready, click the Publish button.

    Thanks, Kruni0524, that’s what I used to be able to do but it’s not that simple anymore. I’ve realised it’s to do with my theme and not WordPress. An update on elegant themes which is making it way more complex to post blogs. Thanks though!

    Hi there, since there is no content at courtneymariahalsted.wordpress.com it sounds likes you are referring to a different site.

    WordPress comes in 2 flavors: the fully hosted WordPressdotcom (where we are ) and the open source WP (org) project at https://wordpress.org This support guide explains some of the differences between them: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    If you are referring to a site using the standalone WP software, you can find all the support information at https://wordpress.org/support/ If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums, you can register one on that page. I also suggest searching the forums there for a similar issue before posting. There is likely a support forum for your Elegant Themes theme there or you can get assistance on this issue directly from Elegant Themes.
