I cannot renew my domainmapping via paypal without credit card

hi there!
the same as in the last years, when I want to renew my domain registration and want to pay via paypal, paypal needs a credit card to proceed.
yes, I disabled auto renew.
yes, I topped up my paypal account with 40 extra euros (payment should be 15 euros).to speed this up (I dont want to write 3 emails to paypal and 3 more to wordpress with the same result as in the previous years): could you send me a direct payment request from your paypal account for the 18$ (or 15€) domain registration renewal?

I apologize for the confusion. I’m happy to help you sort this out. First, can you confirm that you do in fact have a backup method of payment (credit card or bank account) setup with PayPal? In order to use PayPal as a payment method, I believe you need to have a backup method in place in case the credits are not enough to cover the cost of the transaction. I realize in this case that the credits are enough, but I believe this may be a requirement on the PayPal side.

thank you for your reply! my problem is that I dont own a credit card at all. I never was asked to give a bank account, there is also no option to choose this.
last year I had the same problem and I got in contact with paypal first, and they told me that it has to do with the setting of word press that I am asked for the credit card. also, I did just recently a transaction via paypal for another purchase where it worked perfectly without the credit card information.
it seems very strange, am I the only one having this problem? or am I the only one who doesnt have a credit card?
so the solution last year was a direct payment request, but maybe there is another possibility changing some settings in wordpress? as I sayed, automatic renew is disabled (if its enabled I would understand that a credit card is needed in case there i no money on ym account for future transactions).
