I cannot update my blog subscription email, why?

    Dear all,

    I would be glad to update my blog subscription email, since I changed my email address recently.

    However, after clicking on “subscription management” at the bottom of a blog post email, there is apparently no way to achieve this on https://subscribe.wordpress.com/ : my old email address is clearly stated as the active one, but I do not find any way to change it (no “update”, “settings” or any kind of meaningful icon on the screen).

    What do you think? Is unsubscribing/resubscribing the only way to achieve this? Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi David,

    If the email address that changed is the one linked to your WordPress.com account, you can change it in your account settings. You’ll get a confirmation email at the new address and can confirm it to complete the change. After that all of the updates from blogs you follow will go to your new email address.

    Thanks a lot Rachel for the info! In fact, it is not the same address I am using for my WordPress.com account but another email address, and this seems to be causing problems.

    I guess the only option left is to unsubscribe this old address, then resubscribe with the new address. Am I correct? Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi David,

    Yes, if you’re using a different email address for your blog subscriptions (one that isn’t linked to a WordPress.com account) you’ll need to unsubscribe from the old address and then resubscribe with your new address.
