I cannot upload Posterous back up file

I followed the instructions exactly for importing from Posterous and I’m getting the message that this is not an xml file when it is. I set up a WordPress blog and uploaded one post manually, and the about me page, so I know the new blog is ok, but I am not able to import the archive and my blog has been going over two years and has a little following. I have only a couple of weeks to find another platform. If I find one where I actually can import my previous posts, I will delete the wordpress blog and move there. Can you help? Either with suggestions of how I can upload or with a practical alternative platform?

Would you please try uploading the file from a different browser, like Firefox or Chrome?
