I keep getting an error 404 not found message whenever I try to access a blog I haven’t used for awhile. and a prompt to check my jetpack connection.

It seems that your website is probably the open source WordPress software, as opposed to WordPress.com. From what I can tell, your site is hosted on Bluehost. If that’s correct, you may want to contact them here:

Wondering if there is any way to retrieve old blog posts that have been deleted by Bluehost after I let my account lapse?

Hi there,
As your site was hosted by Bluehost, the files and database were on their servers. Please contact Bluehost support to see if they have an old backup that they can retrieve for you.
We won’t be able to help with this unfortunately as the site wasn’t hosted by us. Hope that helps!
