I can’t access my old blog
-
I can’t access my old blog because my old email has been deactivated by the institution that gave me that email address. I don’t know my username because I haven’t logged in for about 5 years. WordPress has really frustrated me by giving me no way of contacting them directly.

Hey there!
I was recently in the same boat as you, but remembered right before giving up. I know they have an account recovery form; have you tried filling this out? You can select it by clicking the “Need More Help?” button on the password reset page. This will let you answer questions to prove your ownership even though you don’t have the original password or access to that email address anymore.
Here’s the link that I found. I hope this helps!

Hi wbriant23,
I can’t access my old blog because my old email has been deactivated by the institution that gave me that email address.
What is the address of the blog you are unable to access?
Just let me know and we can go from there.

The username that owns that site is billywee. If you still know the password, you should be able to use that to log in.
Failing that, the only way to regain access to the site is via our account recovery process:
