I can't achieve the design I would like
-
Right now I have a wordpress.com blog I think with multiple pages. I plan to turn this “blog” into a website by the end of March.
There are certain things I am having a hard time doing such as:Posting articles to specific pages in my blog
Having different images on different pages
Different widgets on different pages.
Control over what may be featured on the Home page
How to get rid of the About page, I want the Home page to be the About page but feature current articles.
I want to create something like an online magazine, but as simple as possible. Right now I am using the 2012 theme. If I purchase the website will I get more hand holding?
I know there is a lot here but any response is appreciated
ThanksThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Based off of what you’re looking to do, it may benefit you greatly to move to the premium wordpress plan. I’ll highlight just some of the things that the premium upgrade can offer you:
An included domain that lets you add a custom domain to your blog (so ‘wordpress.com’ won’t be part of your blog’s address).
Upload HD videos directly to your blog with VideoPress. No ads, no time limits, no watermarks — just your video.
Choose custom fonts and colors with Custom Design, or go under the hood with the CSS editor.
The No Ads upgrade makes sure ads will never show up on your blog.
Extra 10GB of storage space will give you ample room for images, audio and video. The price for the premium upgrade is $99 a year, and would give you the freedom to achieve what you’re looking to do. WordPress is extremely powerful and the premium upgrade gives you even more power over your website.
Also keep in mind that if you’re looking for a bit more support (“handholding” as you mentioned) a build it yourself website may also be an avenue you want to look into. Some of those plans don’t offer the same things wordpress does, so keep that in mind as well.
Good luck!
