I can't add a subdomain to my blog

    Hello,

    I would like to add a subdomain to my blog : blog.atelierb-paris.com

    When I click on ‘Add new domain’ link and select ‘Add an existing domain’ (13$/an) I have the following error : ‘Désolé; vous ne disposez pas des autorisations nécessaires pour associer blog.atelierb-paris.com.’

    In english it says : Sorry you don’t have the authorizations to associate the domain blog.atelierb-paris.com

    Can you help me?

    Hi there,

    Have you created a CNAME for that subdomain at your domain registrar yet? You must add a subdomain for “blog” that points to your WordPress.com site’s URL. Please do that first, and then try adding the mapping again. Let me know if you still receive errors.

    Also be aware that we no longer offer domain mapping as a stand-alone upgrade, so you will most likely need to upgrade to a plan before you’re able to add that domain.

    Yes the CNAME was already created, and still the same error …

    If I look up the DNS for your domain it’s not showing any CNAME records at all, so it looks like the CNAME isn’t set up correctly at your domain registrar.

    Hello,

    Your website whatsmydns is not working properly, I tried another address and it the same bad result but both of my addresses are correct.

    In my CNAME records I have :

    blog.atelierb-paris.com. 300 IN CNAME atelierbparisdotcom.wordpress.com.

    I’m using Cloudflare and the domain is working on it.

    So I still think it’s a problem about Wordress.com.

    WhatsmyDNS is not our website. It’s a website that checks the DNS records of domains and returns the result. That’s what we use to check if a website has the right DNS records.

    If you are routing the domain through CloudFlare to add SSL to it that might prevent us from seeing the CNAME record.

    I just checked and I’m able to add blog.atelierb-paris.com at My Site ->Domains now. Can you please try doing that again? I see no reason why it won’t work for you.

    Type blog.atelierb-paris.com into the text box and click Add.
