I can't add categories!

    For the life of me I can’t seem to get categories on my site. I am using Baskerville 2 theme. I saw to go to my site-manage-settings., and click on writing option. I did, and clicked on categories. I add a name for a category, but it doesn’t show up anywhere. I did go to widgets, (by the way, I have no idea what I am doing, was just playing around) and put the name of my categories one at a time, and these were added to the bottom of my page with a drop down menu that says “uncategorized” Any help is greatly appreciated. Really want to get my blog set up so I can start writing. I have written just a couple of post, and would love to put them under categories as well as posts in the future instead of having all my posts just randomly placed as I go.

    I recommend publishing posts in a few different categories first (or editing your existing posts to add categories) as that does tend to make it a little easier. Then you can add category links to your menu.
