I can't add GIFS: NO ADD MEDIA BUTTON

My wordpress account just updated itself and now I can’t add GIFS into it. Static pictures I can add into the gallery option below, but GIFS show up as a blank square in the gallery. I have been repeatedly directed to the “add media” button, which does not exist on my page. I researched this and found posts directing me to disable plug-ins, which I did. Still no luck. I am on Google Chrome. I even downloaded Mozilla Firefox and tried that platform. Same problem. I’m at my wit’s end. Any ideas? (I DON’T speak techie so please keep ideas/directions in English, thank you!)

If you were able to disable plugins, you’re not talking about http://fastpraygive40days.wordpress.com/ and need to be at WordPress.ORG for help.

Well, what’s the URL of the blog you’re talking about? We can’t help with a WP.org blog.

This has been an issue for a day or so now for people using the “new post” button at the top-right portion of the page to start new posts. Here’s the community discussion about it:

If you start a post from your blog’s dashboard instead Dashboard>Posts>Add New you’ll have better luck.
Also, it’s a bit confusing, but be sure to come to the WordPress.COM support forum for help with your blog (that’s here) from now on. The WordPress.org people are very helpful on .ORG installs, but they are focused on self-hosted blogs so they will recommend solutions that won’t always work here.

I’m having the same problem. Can’t add media, no video button on several platforms, and now my edit can’t get blog I am trying to finish to even load.
