I can’t add plugin
-
Hello.
Yesterday I started a new blog.
I wish to add some plugin (FlashTextFormatter) but I can’t do it because I don’t see ‘plugins’ in my admin panel.
I checked the documentation – it says the ‘plugins’ must be beetwen ‘links’ and ‘presentation’.Must I upgrade my account to have ability to add plugins?
Thanx in advance.

i think you have a self-hosted blog, in which case you have to go to http://wordpress.org/support to place your query. this is the forum for bloggers hosted by wp.com. please correct me if i’m mistaken.
-
hmm…
What do you mean by ‘self-hosted’ ?
I ain’t sure I understand )I just registered in WordPress.com and started a new blog ( murejib.wordpress.com )
Am I in the right place? )) -
If your blog is hosted at WordPress.com you can’t use plugins, at all. We have limited options for security reasons here at WP.com.
-
We cannot use Flash at all at WordPress.com. Neither Flash nor other embeds are enabled, with a very few exceptions detailed in the FAQs.

Some people add a plugin to wordpress for google analytics services , i don’t understand why not all people can install it.

If you have a wordpress.com blog please read the following information carefully as it provides your answer.
wordpress.com and wordpress.org – the differences
http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/07/wordpresscom-vs-wordpressorg/
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=3700This is wordpress. com. We have no plugins here.
http://faq.wordpress.com/2005/10/27/can-i-upload-my-own-plugins/This is wordpress. com where we cannot use Google analytics on our blogs http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/08/03/can-i-use-google-analytics/
Do you have a wordpress. com blog? Or do you have a “powered by wordpress” installation from wordpress.org?

People who add a google analytics plugin are self-hosted, as explained above.
We can not use plugins with our free blogs hosted at wordpresss.com. We already benefit from analytics with our blog stats.
-
Yes it’s true that wordpress.com already runs Google analytics on our blogs and that’s where our stats come from. It’s also true that Google only allows one script to run on a blog at a time hence, bloggers cannot run their own as well.
