I can't add plugins. I'm using wordpress premium.
-
When I click on plugins, the only option I see there is ‘Want to add ecommerce? Upgrade now.’
When I click on that, it asks me to upgrade the business version of wordpress. Currently, I’m on the $99 plan. Plugins work on that, right? This is the website: http://gopiedpiper.com/
This is the blog url: http://gopiedpiper.com/blog/Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No blogs short of the VIP program that starts at $20,000/year can use Plugin’s
Lots of built in functions – many of the Widgets started as Plugins
It’s a security and performance issue – a bad plugin can crash a lot of stuff
What fancy plugin can’t you live without?
-
Thanks, auxclass.
Nothing fancy :) We wanted to add Gravity Forms and Short Pixels. We’re looking for a way to create forms on the website.
-
Not a clue what Short Pixels are – but there is a Contact Form built into WordPress.COM – – if you want real fancy input forms you might need to more to a WordPress.ORG install

Hey,
I just upgraded from free wordpress.com to the premium (99$/ year). I would like to install a plugin that allows me to create a dropdown menu for bilingual options (I am writing my blog posts in english and german). Is that not possible with my premium account?! :/ -
We do not have FTP access and we bloggers cannot install any plugins, we cannot use Microsoft or Google translation widgets or any others, as they are JavaScript and it’s stripped out to preserve security on this multiuser blogging platform. http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/#javascriptHowever, I have translation on my WordPress.com blogs. There are two workarounds and you will find them here > http://onecoolsite.wordpress.com/2011/02/14/translation-widget-for-wordpress-com-blogs/
Note: You can copy and paste the code on my Translations page http://onecoolsite.wordpress.com/translation and then replace every occurrence of my blog’s URL in the code with your own blog’s URL.
If you are bilingual or multilingual and want to publish your free hosted WordPress.com in two or more languages but do not want to rely on machine translation that can be done see here > http://onecoolsite.wordpress.com/2013/02/25/wordpress-com-multilingual-blogs/ and here

A lot of people are having trouble with getting plugins on wordpress. We’re following this tutorial, and we got it to work:
-
@nadeeshaet
That’s not a relevant link here at wordpress.COM because here we bloggers have no FTP access and cannot install any plugins. Please do not post links about wordpress.ORG software installs here at all. -
@nadeeshaet
gopiedpiper.com is not hosted by wordpress.COM.
It is a wordpress.ORG software install hosted by Hostgator and we do not provide support for it.WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
Resetting your WordPress.ORG password http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page -
Hi @nadeeshaet, actually we already optimize images for you, so no Short Pixels plugin is needed.
You can add contact forms, too.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/Plugins are for individual, self-supported installations of WordPress.org on other hosts (as opposed to the managed service you enjoy here), but we do try to make sure you’ve got everything you need for a successful site here. Cheers!
-
Sorry, I thought it would be relevant to someone who is new and having trouble getting what they want on the site.
And thanks, I didn’t know that going through hostgator converts the site to a .org site. -
If it helps, WordPress.org is free software. You can install it and change the code however you’d like (usually with plugins).
WordPress.com is a service. You don’t get to change the code, but you get support, and you don’t have to do software or server maintenance or pay a separate host.
You can find out more here:
Cheers :)
