I can't back up my site. Please Help!
-
Hey there,
I was trying to backup my site today using Updraft. It stalled and said something about not being able to close certain Zip files. I was wondering if I didn’t have enough space on my server.
I then clicked away on to another part of the backend. When I clicked back on the Updraft section it said – “you don’t have authorisation to access this area” – When I clicked away it said – “a critical error has occurred on this site.”
I reloaded the page mysite.com/wp-admin and the backend was fine but Updraft is now gone. BackUp Buddy is also gone.
I’m kind of afraid to move in any direction now. I really can’t afford for the site to go down as I’ve done so much work since the last Backup.
Any and all help much appreciated

Hey there!
Right now you’re posting at the forum for sites hosted only on WordPress.com. It looks like your site is not hosted on WordPress.com but using the open-source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider.
You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:
https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/I would recommend reaching out to your hosting provider for additional information on the critical error, disk space on your server, and the missing backup plugins.
Hope this helps! Cheers!
