I can't change my blog address

  Hi All,

  I deleted by mistake my blog renaming it to jrsshoots.wordpress.com. Now jrsshoots it’s actually mispelled and I would like to have back my original URL jrsshots.wordpress.com, but if I try to rename it I get the error ‘Sorry, that site has already been used!’. Is there a way to have it back or it is lost forever?

  Hi,

  Unfortunately blog URL’s cannot be recycled, and once they are deleted they cannot be re-registered. See here for more information: https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/.

  You could, however, use the domain mapping upgrade to register the domain name you want so long as it isn’t currently registered: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/register-domain/

  Thank you very much for the very quick reply.
  I will use jrsshot.wordpress.com and then I’ll register a domain name as soon as my blog gets “some life” in it…
