I can’t change my e-mail address

  I keep trying to change the e-mail address associated with my account to my new work address but each time I receive the error message ‘That email is already being used’. However, I only have one WordPress account, and when I try logging in with my new work address I get sent a link that takes me to my existing account. So my new address seems to be somehow linked to my existing account; however, I want to make it the main account e-mail but am unable to. Can someone help please?

  Hi there,

  I can confirm that I see there is an existing account using that email address. It does not seem to have any sites associated with it, so if you wish you can safely delete it. To help with that I have emailed you at the address you have mentioned above. Please look in your hkbu.edu.hk email inbox for the message:

  “WordPress.com support: Do you want to delete your account?”
