I can't change the DNS of my wordpress site to point it to my host
-
I am trying to create an A record to point my wordpress site to host page (123-reg) following your instructions (https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/setting-custom-a-records/), but I can’t even start as I can’t edit at all my domains.
How can I do that?
Thanks for your help. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

/lauraseoaneblog.wordpress.com/ – is not a custom domain name – it is a plain WordPress.COM sub-domain name

Just so I’m clear, are you trying to point a domain registered at WordPress.com to a new webhost?
If so, you want these instructions:
If you are trying to map an externally registered domain to your WordPress.com site, you want these instructions:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
Creating A Records is really only for mapping a domain registered elsewhere to a WordPress.com site when you cannot change nameservers for some reason. If your host requires that you use an A Record/IP address, this is the method you would need to use.
What does your host want you to do?

PS – if you are moving off site to your own host and want to send traffic from /lauraseoaneblog.wordpress.com/ – to your new site you will need domain forwarding
-
My bad – you might want Site Redirect no Forwarding: https://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/
Sorry
