I can't connect my site to wordpress.com
-
I’ve just moved my wordpress site from my home network to be hosted on a VPS belonging to one of my friends. We’re running lighttpd rather than apache but he also has a wordpress site on which we successfully set up jetpack.
The message I get is as follows:
“Your Jetpack has a glitch. Something went wrong that’s never supposed to happen. Guess you’re just lucky: xml_rpc-32700
Try connecting again.Error Details: The Jetpack server could not communicate with your site’s XML-RPC URL. Please check to make sure http://www.bencurrington.co.uk/xmlrpc.php is working properly. It should show ‘XML‑RPC server accepts POST requests only.’ on a line by itself when viewed in a browser and should not have any blank links or extra output anywhere.”
I checked the url as suggested and it checks out fine.
Thanks
Ben

OK, can you try deleting, re-installing, and re-activating Jetpack? If you still have problems, can you de-activate other plugins on your blog? Which other plugins are you using?

Yeah, I’ve tried both those things already.
The other plugins I have are AddToAny, Akismet, Audio Player, Category Posts Widget, Configure SMTP, Contact Form 7, Executable PHP Widget, Hello Dolly, Jetpack, Now Reading Reloaded and Widget Logic.

I’ve fixed it. I noticed that the RSS feed wasn’t working either, there were two blank lines at the end of my functions.php
Removed them and all is well.
Thanks for your help Hanni.
