I cant delete widgets on sunburst theme?

I dont want any widgets on the sidebar. But there are 4 widgets visible. I tried everything to delete them, but it wont work. I use browser internet explorer version 8. And i tried it on my laptop with windows vista premium. It still does not work to get the sidebar gone, including these widgets. Help!

What you are seeing is the theme-generated default set of widgets that are displayed when you have not actually added any widgets to the sidebar.
If you want nothing at all in the sidebar, drag a text widget to the sidebar at appearance > widgets and leave it completely empty. That will cause the theme-generated set to disappear.
The sidebar will still be there, but it will appear empty.

meta, archive, search and pages are still in the sidebar.
I used the usual technique. Won’t work to remove them. -
