I can’t disable 2FA because I have a new smartphone device

  Hello Dear WordPress!
  I have a brand-new smartphone device and therefore I lost access to my old 2FA App. Can you please disable 2FA from my WordPress account so I’ll be able to Re-Enable 2FA on my new smartphone device? I tried using the SMS method but it’s not working and it says ‘unable to use the SMS service right now’.

  That’s when you need those backup codes. just use one of those codes instead of the code generated bij your Authenticator app.
