I can't do links within the content of my blog, the link sign isn't in bold

  I used to put links into my content by clicking on the links image on the toolbar and then add the url i wanted to link to. Now the links button is pale and doesn’t show up.

  In order for the link button to work, you have to highlight the text to which you want to add the link and then click the button in the toolbar. Is that the process you are following?
