I can't enable custom post types

  I cannot get custom content types to work. This means the Illustratr theme is sort of broken for me…

  I’ve read the simple details:

  In your site’s dashboard, go to Settings → Writing → Your Custom Content Types and make sure the “Portfolio Projects” option is checked.

  but it isn’t an option in settings/writing, or any other menu I can find (I went through every menu in the dashboard).

  I’m running a localhost version. I’ve installed jetpack and enabled and disabled shortcode embeds. I’m running 3.9. Rolled back 2 versions – tried 3.8 and 3.7. Tried other custom content type plug-ins. Uninstalled all plugins.

  What am I missing?

  You are in the wrong forum and need to ask over at WordPress.ORG for help with that version of the software. Ours works differently and we cannot help you here.
