I can’t find a plugins tab for installation
-
I am getting frustrated to death trying to install a plug-in. There is no plug-in button in my administrative panels and wp-contents/plugins/ does not exist for my website. All the plugin installation instructions say its soooo easy… can someone help me?

This is WordPress.com, where we cannot upload and activate plugins. Plugins are a WordPress.org thing. In other words, if you want to use plugins, you need a blog hosted somewhere other than WordPress.com.

Why is all the plugin information in the codex here?! This is extremely frustrating!! If we don’t have the option to use it it should be removed.

The Codex is for WordPress.org (look at the address in your browser). If you are unsure of the difference, please see:

This is WordPress.com. A paid upgrade here will not provide functionality for plugins. That would be WordPress.org . There is a post at the top of the Forums page that explains the difference.
