I can't find my blog using google

  Hello,

  I created an account 4 years ago called wrestlingwithrestless. Now I have launched a new blog called Breaking Free. I cannot find it using google, even when I enter the name of it along with some tags and categories. I’ve tried on two different computers. I searched in the support for help with this but couldn’t find anything. I consulted a coworker who blogs for my organization, and he suggested I check my settings to see if there’s anything suppressing this blog, but I can’t find anything.

  Also, why is the web address below “breakingfreeblogdotorg.wordpress.com”? That’s kind of ridiculous! I thought by paying the $99 I was getting a straightforward .com site.

  I don’t blame you for eagerly awaiting your site to be visible on search engines. I am the same way when I launch a new site.

  The lag time you’re experiencing is because it takes Google 4-6 weeks to index new sites.

  Take a look at the link below. It includes information about WordPress.com sites and search engine visibility. I highly recommend using the Google’s Webmaster Tools to assist in expediting your site’s indexing:
