humornomics.co.uk is the name of my website but when I type it into the search bar, nothing comes up.
When i try to go to the WP/admin page for the site I get the following error message : -The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.-

I would like to -reactivate- my site so I can see all of the content I previously published online. And I would like to be able to access my WP/admin details so I can continue to edit and publish content. Please help?

    Further details:
My domain humornomics.co.uk name is registered with godaddy and it has currently been parked. To reactivate it, I also need to be able to log into my wordpress account details so I can change the corresponding information.

    Hi Charlie,

Yes I see you are registered with Godaddy and also your nameservers are pointing to us at WordPress.com

This means it has something to do with your WordPress.com account. I will tag the post for additional help.

    Hi charlieoben,

My domain humornomics.co.uk name is registered with godaddy and it has currently been parked.

humornomics.co.uk is registered through GoDaddy so you will need to contact them if you need help with reactivating the domain. We are only able to help reactive domains registered through WordPress.com.

To reactivate it, I also need to be able to log into my wordpress account details so I can change the corresponding information.

While the name servers are pointing to WordPress.com, there is no domain mapping upgrade for humornomics.co.uk — this means the domain isn’t connected to a WordPress.com site.

There are no WordPress.com sites owned by the account you are logged in to, so it’s possible the domain was being used for a self hosted WordPress.org site instead:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

The first step is to speak to GoDaddy and check everything is okay on their end. They should be able to help you point the name servers to the right place.

Come back to me if you have any questions.

    Hi,

I’ve checked with Godaddy and everything seems fine on their end and I’ve edited the name servers as well to ensure it’s pointing to the right site.

Is it possible that humornomics.co.uk is owned by another WordPress Account? When I open it, I can see it under my profile but I can’t accesss it.

    1. I don’t understand where my wordpress content has dissappeared to.
    2. I dont understand how to access the humornomics.co.uk wordpress admin details, because i used to just be able to log in, but now i no longer can.

Please can you describe a step to step of how to get the wordpress content back online.

    Hi charlieoben,

I’ve edited the name servers as well to ensure it’s pointing to the right site.

Domain mapping is a two way connection. The name servers need to be pointed to WordPress.com and domain mapping needs to be setup on this end. In this case, you are changed the name servers but there is no domain mapping upgrade. This means the domain isn’t connected to a WordPress.com site.

Is it possible that humornomics.co.uk is owned by another WordPress Account?

There are no active domain mapping upgrades for humornomics.co.uk on the account you are logged in to or any other account — therefore the domain isn’t connected to a site here on WordPress.com.

There are also no sites owned by the account you are logged in to which suggests the domain was being used for a self hosted WordPress.org site. There are two types of WordPress:

    1. WordPress.com — the site is hosted on our servers
    2. WordPress.org sites — the site is hosted elsewhere and is separate from your WordPress.com account

    1. I don’t understand where my wordpress content has dissappeared to

I’d recommend asking GoDaddy what the name servers were set to before they were pointed to WordPress.com. That could provide a clue about where your site was hosted.

    2. I dont understand how to access the humornomics.co.uk wordpress admin details, because i used to just be able to log in, but now i no longer can.

If a domain no longer points to a self hosted site, you are usually given an IP address or temporary URL instead. This is something only the hosting company will be able to provide.
